Warner Robins Air Force Base in Middle Georgia is the largest single-site industrial complex in Georgia. It employs nearly 22,000 civilians, contractors and military members who commute from seventeen counties in Georgia. That’s why it’s the perfect place to put up billboards reminding the public how much Trump disrespects our military, our veterans, and our POWs.
Rural USA PAC just put up a series of billboards around the main entrance to Warner Robins stating “Arlington Isn’t for Photo Ops” and featuring Trump being inhumanly insensitive, smiling with his thumbs up gesture as he violates Arlington National Cemetery rules by taking political pictures next to the graves of America’s fallen heroes. Trump’s behavior was so egregious that the Army took the unusual step of rebuking the Trump campaign for their behavior stating:
Participants in the August 26th ceremony and the subsequent Section 60 visit were made aware of federal laws, Army regulations and DoD policies, which clearly prohibit political activities on cemetery grounds.
Rural USA PAC explains their goal with the new billboards:
These billboards are a reminder that Donald Trump has a long history of undermining America’s military in private and then using them for political gain in public,” said Chris Gibbs President of Rural USA PAC. “Georgians who serve and support our military know that Arlington is no place for campaign stops. Our goal is to ensure that through Election Day Donald Trump’s record of disrespecting those in uniform isn’t lost among the other things he will do to undermine broadly shared American values.
